This Privacy Policy explains how RD Motion d.o.o. (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you use Zenomiq(the “Service”). It complements our Terms & Conditions and Cookie Policy.

1. Data Controller

2. Data We Collect

• Account information — name, email address and, optionally, company name. Provided when you register (email/password or Google OAuth).
• Profile preferences — display name, units and other UI settings you configure.
• User-generated content — gear-pair parameters, calculations, projects, notes, uploaded CSVs and generated reports.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and basic operational logs.
• Usage analytics — only collected if you consent to analytics cookies. Aggregated; no advertising profiles.

3. How and Why We Use Your Data

• To create and maintain your account and authenticate sign-ins.
• To run calculations on your behalf and persist your projects.
• To send essential service notifications (e.g. password reset, email confirmation, security alerts).
• To improve performance, fix defects and develop new features.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

• Contract — to deliver the Service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interest — to operate, secure and improve the Service.
• Consent — for analytics cookies and any optional marketing communications.
• Legal obligation — for tax, accounting and other statutory requirements.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is hosted on Google Cloud Platform within the European Union. We apply industry-standard organisational and technical safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls and regular backups. No system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, but we treat your data with the same care we apply to our own.

6. Sharing With Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with sub-processors who help us operate the Service, under contracts that meet GDPR requirements:

• Google Cloud Platform — hosting and database services (EU region).
• Google Workspace — transactional email delivery.
• Google Analytics 4 — aggregated usage analytics (only if you opt in).
• Google OAuth — only if you choose “Sign in with Google”.

We may also disclose data when required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

7. Data Retention

We keep your account and content while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 9).

8. International Transfers

Personal data is processed within the European Economic Area. Where a sub-processor (e.g. Google) processes data outside the EEA, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or other safeguards approved under GDPR.

9. Your Rights

• Access — request a copy of your personal data.
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure — request deletion of your data.
• Restriction — limit how we process your data.
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Withdraw consent — at any time, with effect for the future.
• Lodge a complaint — with the Slovenian Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec) or your local supervisory authority.

10. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
